Mandala Workshop: Dunderry Park 18th Feb 2012

This was one of the busier workshops and quite a wonderful group of people indeed. One of the things I find is by emphasising the importance of mindfulness that it invites people into really explore what is gong on for them. I was really encouraged by witnessing many members of the group just settle back into a reclining position and close their eyes as they delved deeper into their process.

Dunderry has a very special place in my heart. Even more now since I ran the Mandala Tipi at the Spirit of Folk festival which was amazing by the way. I am very grateful to Martin and Anette who run the centre there and have been so supportive to my work. Not just in opening the doors of their centre for me but in showing real interest and attending and diving deep into the mandala work too.

I also have to say there was such a beautiful sharing group and many themes were shared but the one that was most common was this sense of total Joy and feeling happy. It is as if there is a group mind at play. Some people connected back to that childlike playfulness from their youth when working with the materials, others liked the freedom of having no artistic dogma influencing them and others still just ended up in these beautiful happy joyful places....... it really was wonderful. Thanks to all for making it such a special day.

Mandala Workshop: Oscailt Integrative Health Centre - Jan 28th 2012

This was the first workshop of 2012 and also my first collaborative workshop. Patricia Lohan was a special guest and she really contributed in the most wonderful way by enhancing the day with sound. That most sacred of sounds arising from her Tibetan singing bowls.

This felt like a really close knit and cosy workshop. With everybody really warming to each other from arrival. Pearl and Michael were particularly wonderful gifts to the group as they are a little more senior than the rest of us. We were bathed in the wisdom they shared...... and shared, and blessed for it.

I have mentioned before that I am noticing in these workshops a type of group mind that seems to emerge. This takes on the form of similar themes being shared by people. One of these themes that I personally found particularly dominant at this workshop was the importance of our body for spiritual practice. This was shared by a number of people and references to treating our body like a lush garden were used. To care for it to water it to nourish it. A lesson that I am really grateful for and have acted on since!

Mandala Workshop: Shell Cottage - Carton House - Maynooth - Nov 19th 2011

One of the things I am most grateful for since I began this project with mandalas is the way in which the universe has opened up for me and 'helped' me share this passion with people. A specific example of this is how welcoming and progressive the owners of this wonderful hotel were to this work. I mean not only did they support it and grant permission to hold the work in this wonderful space, but they are really interested and understand it and wish to attend someday.

This place just has to be seen to believed it is just so special and it is so perfect for this work with mandalas. I had a wonderful group of people attend this time and it was so magic to be walking out in the the dark down to a running waterfall to complete the deconstruction ritual at the end of the day.

Wonderful learning's emerged 'for' people 'from' people at this workshop. It is as if there is a higher hand involved in selecting the combination of people to help those very things emerge that people just seem to need most. Beautiful.

Mandala Workshop: Dunderry Park 22nd OCT 2011

This workshop was really something special. I am beginning to notice that each occasion when a group of humans come together to do inner work a certain collective field is activated. Like a meta personality or a group mind of sorts.

Such was the case with this workshop.

The wonderful people who attended were all quite adept at inner work. Dunderry Park is a place of great power due to the beautiful nature surrounding it but also because the quantity of spiritual and inner work that has been conducted there for many years.

I felt a certain depth of experience was shared by the participants and the share group blew me away.
